I just saw Samurai Jack.
It was pretty good but I don't think it quite lived up to the hype that's been built around it for the past month or so. Some guy at Chud referred to it as "The FUTURE of Cartoons". Well if the future consists of drawn out camera panning of characters that make Peanuts look complex and eery reflective surfaces then I suppose he's right on the money.
Basically I was expecting a slightly more lighthearted Rurouni Kenshin when I first heard about this series. Generally it's more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Leonardo cutting through endless generic robo-soldiers. And I'm sorry, but Aku was massively retarded. He can turn into anything and he chooses to become a monkey thing, a bird, an octopus and a scorpion while managing to forget he apparently had demon eye lazers and a bunch of other powers that would dominate some guy with a magic sword.
All in all their use of colored ink and jagged ridiculous backgrounds makes for a very stylish type of show.

Aye. Justice League has the potential to be great. Does anybody know which characters will be in it besides Superman, Batman, and Wonderwoman? I don't know how I'd feel about Black Lightning or whatever his name was or Samurai being in there. Oh, and they must have a Legion of Doom! I'll be so pissed if they have them fighting generic scientists alongside some asshole teenagers.

Violence Jack was the best anime I'VE EVER SEEN. It spits in the face of it's predecessors by daring to have a protagonist who isn't a slender effeminate imbecile with flowing white hair and a sword covered in rosepedals or some shit. The entire plot makes you reevaluate your religion as well.
I found this viewer review at Amazon.com that basically sums up this movie better than anything I could possibly do.

As you can see, you're not dealing with your average anime here. Even the stylish way of foregoing the whole "tion" syllable isn't enough to prepare you for Violence Jack. But let's hear from another famous viewer reviewer: Pussy Faggot.
"This is a powerful depiction of life after the apocalypse, almost depressing in its insistence that man would devolve into animal savagry if his civilized trappings were stripped away. Plus it's got an intriguingly mysterious anti-hero, whose true identity and purpose are no doubt revealed in future volumes. It's grim and relentless but undeniably gripping and exciting. Clearly this person looked way too deeply into the movie and seems to of accidentally watched an episode of Masterpiece Theater through most of it. I think I've made my point that watching Violence Jack is the best thing a person can possibly do during their comparably worthless life, but just incase let me tell you that there's a scene where the main badguy eats his girlfriend's corpse to gain mutant superpowers. Suck on THAT, any doubts you might've had about this movie.

After the first two seasons the dexter cartoon are crapily drawn. No, lazily drawn. So are the powerpuff girls. I watch the powerpuff girls because I keep hoping for another action packed episode like the first one. (Meat hair!)
It's sad how the 15second powerpuff fruitsnacks commercial is better drawn than anything ever done for the actual show.

Animation looks that way cause they have computers do most of it, so its not as vibrant.
But I like the style, its a shame that every other cartoon now copies it.
Dexter's Lab never stopped being funny. Come on, that Mock 5 episode was so fucking brilliant. As was that one where he eats the bean burrito and thinks he's gonna explode.

Dexter's Laboratory is magical.
A while back ago, cartoon network was created because Turner had all these fucking horrible shows lying around along with these animators, voice actors, and writers that were rejected everywhere else. If you notice, just about all the CN shows usually have identical, animators, voice actors, and writers. The shows look cheap because they are.

That episode of PowerPuff Girls where they fight the giant blowfish monster thing in their giant robot was animated pretty well. Whoever was in charge of animating explosions must have a shrivelled nub of digits crippled into grotesque cancer bubbles in place of his (girls aren't good at anything) right hand now. Dexter's Lab is good too.
Despite me being kind of a dick in the first post I did enjoy Samurai Jack quite a bit. After seeing the premiere and first episode (the one with the little blue things and the retarded fur creatures.) I think it sort of fell short of being "serious" like Genndy Tartakofsky supposedly wanted.
I'm sorry but I can't accept Justice League with a black Green Lantern. If they want racial diversity why not just put Cyborg or Black Vulcan into this new show? The original was a treasure trove of bullshit racial diversity. Everything from Indians to Mexicans to whatever fag race Marvin was from.

the Green Lantern power can be used by anybody who has found(Kyle Rayner) or is given(John Stewart) the ring & battery. John Stewart in the black man who was given the ring later on in the comic book continuity, and it's him that they're using for the JLA show.
you guys are a bincha uneducated assholes. It's not like somebody just decided to make Superman or Wonderwoman black. Paul Dini's Batman & Superman cartoons have always been true to the comic books, and he isn't doing anything wrong here. Just think about what it'll be like to have a Green Lantern who doesn't make giant flyswatters & boxing gloves to knock out evildoers.

Sorry for not knowing enough about the history of GREEN LANTERN. Besides, I saw some promotional picture for it and they had the white version. That artist guy who found it and happened to of been a star quarterback in highschool so he has the exact same physique as every other male on the show who isn't a fat imbecile.

As for Samurai Jack, I rather enjoy it..it depicts a white man's noble struggle to overthrow a possible future if a negroid (Aku definitely is black with some sort of a Samuel L. Jackson complex) took over. Think about it..
