CHARACTERS SO FAR

Kenshiro:
Ken for short. He is the successor to Hokuto Shinken, a martial art that strikes the pressure point on the human body which causes the victim to explode or succumb to some other unfortunate death. It can also be used to heal, erase memories, force people to do things against their will, etc. Ken initially went on his journey to seek revenge against his best friend Shin for stealing his fiancee Yuria and putting seven scars on his chest in the form of the Big Dipper. Now he fights to remove evil from the Earth so that future generations may live in peace.

Raoh:
Ken's eldest step-brother. After Ken became the successor to Hokuto Shiken rather than him, he decided to challenge God himself and conquer the world. He changed his name to Ken'Oh and set out on campaign of terror and destruction. His size seems to vary depending on the artist's mood but he's big. And has a big horse named Kokuo.

Toki:
Ken's second eldest step-brother. His skill in martial arts was prodigious and was initially the most likely candidate to be successor to Hokuto Shinken. However, when the nuclear holocaust began there was only enough room left for two people in the bomb shelter. Toki threw Ken and Yuria inside and shut the door so that they'd be spared. Two weeks later, Ken opens the door to find Toki crumpled on the ground after being nuked by the nukes. He is now dying of radiation poisoning or cancer (never specified) and wants to live his last days using hokuto Shinken to help the people rather than hurting them. He was later imprisoned by Raoh so that Ken would not able to meet him again. This seems to be what Raoh fears most.

Rei:
Master of Nanto Suichoken (South Star Waterbird Fist), Rei is Ken's closest ally. His art allows him to slice human beings apart using his fingers. He went out into the wasteland looking for his sister Aili who was kidnapped by a man with seven scars. It turned out that it was Ken's step-brother Jagi who was the kidnapper. Ken killed Jagi and helped Rei retrieve his sister from the leader of the Kiba gang. He swore that he would do anything to pay Ken back for all he's done for him, even his life. Therefore, he faced Raoh on Ken's behalf but was easily defeated.

Yuria:
Ken's fiancee. Kidnapped by Ken's best friend Shin, she chose to jump off a building to her death rather than live without Ken.

Mamiya:
A young lady who bears a stunning resemblance to Yuria. She is in love with Ken but he doesn't return the feeling. She has seen the Harbringer of Death, a star next to the Big Dipper which is supposedly seen by those who have little time left to live.

Lin:
A young girl who loves Ken and follows him around. She is tough for such a young child and shares Ken's vision of a peaceful world where everyone can live.

Bat:
A sneaky and somewhat cowardly brat who hangs around with Ken and Lin.
