His stuff doesn't work once in a while, like the hot dog vendor who didn't take his fake money, or the guy who he couldn't make forget his train stop. There are a few things he's done that I'm not convinced are the real deal o'neal, but I'm willing to believe that for the most part he's just extremely skilled at subtly manipulating people.

I just don't believe that this guy would be able to make a living off of this style of magic if he was using stooges for everything. He'd be exposed and no one would care about him! I'm willing to believe that once in a while a trick won't go the way that it was supposed to, and they'll reshoot it with a stooge to cover a potential loss, but it's ridiculous to assume that everything he does involves a stooge.
