That's crazy that Rice said the daddy-long-legs thing because just yesterday, I looked them up on Wikipedia, which confirmed that that myth is a lie.

My friend Alex had been on acid, and he completely freaked out and had to leave his house because he saw a spider in his bedroom. It was insane. You would have thought somebody had just died is you had seen the way he and his girlfriend were acting. She was hysterical, almost in tears. He was trying to calm her down, but he was obviously really scared as well. I was sitting there like, "It's OK. Most spiders aren't poisonous. Let's watch Calligula." Everybody I told that story to always brought up the thing about daddy long legs being the most poisonous spiders in the world but having fangs too short to puncture human flesh. It sounded so ridiculous. Finally -- JUST YESTERDAY (all this happened like a month ago) -- I looked it up on Wikipedia which confirmed that Myth Busters proved this myth false. On a semi-related note, I had never heard this myth when I was a preteen, but I was still neurotically afraid of daddy long legs based on absolutely nothing other than the fact that I thought they looked horrifying.

Anyway, when Kid Rock got really famous, my friend Brenton told me he got arrested for bringing a bunch of prostitutes on stage and saying, "WHO WANTS TO... FUCK CHICKSSSS???" and then sending them into the audience to fuck everybody. I was like, "No, come on, there's no way that happened." And he said, "No, seriously. I mean, it's Kid Rock." Like Kid Rock was this mythical badass who would do anything. I never really believed him. He lied about everything. But, you know, I still remember him saying it. Part of me had to have believed it.

That was kind of part of it. The whole BARELY THERE-ness of their body structure. I could always picture one just crawling up into my mouth without my even noticing.

And then when you really look at them, their legs are usually at this HORROR MOVIE slant. I still get nervous around them. They're fucking scary creatures. If I see one on the floor, I'm not comfortable until I kill it.

My last post was in response to MADali, but I remember ALDP's myth, too.

I remember seeing Marylin Manson in an interview discount BOTH rumors about him by saying, "You think if I could suck my own dick, I'd be chasing Winny around?" Hyuck hyuck. He probably started all those rumors for publicity.
