I haven't read up on this too much because it's not very exciting but my newspaper must have been wrong about something because I did some napkin calculations and found that the star must be 250,000 Sun masses, which is :explosions:. |

According to Wikipedia (and the newspaper I read today), it's a red dwarf.
I found this very exciting, too. I think in our lifetimes we'll be able to witness something pretty fucking incredible as far as the exploration of the universe goes. At the rate things are progressing, I'm sure we'll find definitive signs of alien life, either on Europa (or somewhere) or via transmissions from another civilization (if any exist). |

There's honestly no reason for you to visit me, MADali. Unless there was some sort of board event happening by me, but I doubt that would be the case. |

If we discover alien life form, it would be exciting for a while, then it'll just be routine boring stuff |

I can't think of a plausible explanation for why we haven't seen signs of life outside of Earth. If I knew everything I know now EXCEPT the fact that we've never witnessed any intelligent alien life, I'd conclude that we definitely would have seen obvious signs of it since before humanity existed. |

I don't see why this is such a big deal because the planet is so far away we wouldn't be able to get there. |

Also, since this is the deep thinking topic, the best possible future involves extensive use of nuclear weapons in battle. |

I don't think there's any plausible reason why we would see signs of intelligent life, even if it was relatively plentiful. |
