 What is the Texas of the north? |

What is a northern state that seems cool for 10 or 20 years; is filled with hard working people, but is a shithole that will never be a match for New england? (well I take it back the entire country is a shithole compared to New England).
I would say Virginia is the southern equivalent of New England; prior to the 1960s I would say New Orleans was the NY of the south. What is the Texas of the north?

I mean, nothing is really Texas, but probably Michigan, right?
The one thing I know for sure is Wisconsin is the North's answer to Florida. |

Alberta, Canada.
-Racist rednecks everywhere who own pickup trucks (with anti-Trudeau bumper stickers on them) and large dogs
-The only province that elects a conservative government every year
-Provincial government always trying to strike down federal gun control laws and get shut down by the Supreme Court every time
-Huge redneck festival every summer called the Calgary Stampede
-People think they are smarter and better than other Canadians due to their wealth and not just because they happen to have a bunch of oil in their territory |
