Here's a thread to talk about what's happening in the news!!!

How about Egypt! Wow! It seems like those people never relax. 72 protesters killed at a sit-in.

Elsewhere in the news, a big jewel heist in France. I wonder if anyone famous had their jewels stolen!!!

I think I made a thread like this before, but this time I really believe in the thread.

You don't really hear about jewel heists except in movies.

There needs to be more heists in general.

I've been pretty bad about keeping up with the news, generally speaking.

That's how it feels, at least!

But then, sometimes I'll talk to other people, and it's as if they don't follow ANY of the news!

A few months ago there was a jewel heist in my hometown. Man with guns attacked my father-in-law's jewelry shop.

But thats not current events.

At least 10 suspected Nazi war criminals ordered deported by the United States never left the country, according to an Associated Press review of Justice Department data - and four are living in the U.S. today. All remained eligible for public benefits such as Social Security until they exhausted appeals, and in one case even beyond.

How are Nazis still alive? These guys must have gotten positions of great power and authority when they were 20 years old.

It really is time for anybody left from World War 2 to just get it over with and die.

Specially the holocaust survivors.

But I guess since the holocaust was all made up, they'll never really all die.

Does anybody else think it's weird that people with allergies refer to themselves as the allergy community? Like it's such a rare and exotic condition that you need to label yourselves a community. The MILLIONS AND BILLIONS of people with fucking allergies!? I hope they don't inevitably clash with the Lung Community, the community of people that breathe air with their mysterious human lungs.

In other words I just read a story about some girl that ate foodstuff which grazed a peanut at some point and died as a result. Great news cycle, fellas! Keep churning out 24 hours worth of sensationalist garbage.

I think the most important current event that Chris is really not hitting on is this new conspiracy theory about Princess Diana's murder!

It's kind of amazing how NPR and NYTimes are reporting on Egypt. I need to read Drudge or some other Chris Psaros shit so I can find out about how the Muslim Brotherhood deserves to be systematically exterminated. Cuz geez louise, those stories about them getting exterminated sure keep coming! There have been some references in my PROGRAMS about how the Muslim Brotherhood was saying all Christians suck and burning down Christian churches and trying to kill all the Christians, so I'm assuming that's all the conservatives are talking about. Oh, I guess they probably also talk about Obama being in the Muslim Brotherhood.

Maybe I should read some comments and find out what the internet is saying about the Muslim Brotherhood...

I'm not even concerned anymore that many liberals can't see the difference between Middle Eastern religious folks who live their entire lives learning to kill anyone who doesn't agree with them and the "extremist" that live in the US that have the horrible stance of wanting to end the progressive's genocide of millions and millions of unborn babies. Did you know that they actually want to be able to pray in public? Somebody get a rope!!!

This comment has a couple other paragraph-sentences but none of them are quite the rollercoaster ride that this one is

Actually all the quotes I see from MB protesters are like "We know we're going to die and we have to die" which seems terroristy somehow. I mean, if I thought they were talking to ME I would think they wanted me to feel bad for them, but I guess this is more about little child terrorists buying Muslim Brotherhood trading cards. Maybe terrorists have to work in cycles. We felt bad for the Taliban once, didn't we? Sort of contradicted myself.

Speaking of feeling bad for people, setting yourself on fire in protest is so played out. It just reminds me of those monks protesting Vietnam! I remember hearing about some people setting themselves on fire in protest of something in the last year or two but I can't remember what it was about. It just reminded me of the chill I got reading about those monks in a social studies book or a magazine article about famous pictures or something.

Somebody should edit together that picture of the policeman executing the guy, the picture of the naked kid running from a napalm attack, and some burning monks into one "chilling Vietnam document" superimage.
