I listen to so much NPR and read like a quarter of the New York Times opinion page on a practically daily basis. Now keeping up with all this current events probably makes me a better person and all because I'm 60% sure I know how gerrymandering works and I am always aware that books and movies are being produced and promoted heavily, but it's actually just a crazy person thing. Sometimes I'll get like 7 hours of NPR programming in a day, if I'm following storylines on the news shows (Morning Edition, Weekend Edition, All Things Considered) or they're doing cool topics on Tell Me More, Talk of the Nation, and Fresh Air. I also listen to Marketplace pretty often. I can't speak to any concrete benefits from this insane behavior other than the fact that I've been getting really good at guitar cuz I usually smoke weed and practice guitar when I'm listening to my PROGRAMS. I'd say a normal day is Fresh Air, Talk of the Nation, All Things Considered, give or take if FA and TofN have guest hosts or boring shit.
I listen to Tell Me More on Friday because that's when a bunch of black guys talk to the black lady host about current events. Upwards of half of the regular panelists are Republicans, one is chairman of the Log Cabin Republicans, and they're all very funny and voluble and direct about their stupid Republican beliefs. It's nice to hear whatever the Republican line is in an informal atmosphere with a couple liberal dudes to give their take. And frankly it's interesting to hear a bunch of black media dudes from along the political spectrum talking about whatever bullshit is going on while a black guy is president. This segment is called The Barbershop, apparently there's also a segment called The Beauty Salon but it's usually boring shit cuz Tell Me More is a pretty boring show.

I haven't played many games for a while but there was a point in the recent past where I was playing tower defense games so much that I didn't have anything to listen to when I practiced guitar and I also wasn't going to class or anything.

I took a couple Ambiens so I am unable to state with certainty that this thread will be used for actual news commentary, clear-eyed descriptions of my overall level of dysfunction, or a just a place for what I call "gif music videos" where you watch a gif while listening to a song and then you laugh your ass off.

I am obssesed with Dan le Betard is Highly Questionable. It's fantastic when he and Bomani Jones discuss matters which are serious in nature but he is the second funniest person in media, behind Dan le Betard. It has a sports theme but often they'll end up discussing things across the board since the topic coincides. Bomani Jones is the king of intelligently and hilariously cutting to the core of a small debate, with the humor and wit of a quick-thinking naturally funny black man who is very intelligent but talks like a Guy from a skit in a Dave Chappelle show episode. Dan le Betard is a Cuban Chris, highly self-deprecating and very well-spoken whose elocution is like a stream of non-ramble with perfect application of an opinion with a manner that suggests he doesn't need to try. I'm usually mildly affected by a oxy and playing videogames but drop everything when it comes on.

First Take is too serious and PC although the veritable king of cutting, loud, immensely well-versed in his craft (masters in English some shit) Stephen A. Smith can create laughs when he goes apeshit when Skip Bayless is spinning trolls though he honestly believes them. Think of an outlandish ridiculous opinion of mine that had been considersed a troll, but I honestly believe what is coming out of my mouth.
I know all one really needs to know because I'm obsessed with the world of interests : Sport and am a high level Naruto geek.

Of course people automatically cast what I say due to my little lexicon of egregious in nature exaggerated curious speak, filled with FTU-isms, analogies which often are non-sensical litterrd with ways of getting my point across with obscure quotes and regular imagination sessions in unknown public terminals creating conversations in which I will do impersonations of several parties, and the fact a lot of people think Generalized Anxiety Disorder and the medicine taken to allievieate the symptoms is the same as homicidal schizophrenia and the pills which are recognized are fun drugs I don't need or 'like thorazine and prozac". I also know so much about them I'm considered a con man. When in reality I'm a huge pharmacology nerd and sports and Naruto geek.

I'm.insane but in my own good-natured way that is part my manner in which I express myself and interest, and part neurotic ADHD afflicted sad fellow in a lot of pain and emotional quagmire.
