Since everybody in the US is asleep, and this literally just happened, I'm in the enviable position of being able to make the first asinine, reactionary comments on every news report about what this "says about us as a society," and about how this event shows that everything is different and worse than it was before, and that this is (or is not) the fault of the second amendment.

And also the first to make any number of supervillain jokes.

I really need to go to bed, but my mind is boggling at the opportunity I've been handed.

Last night many people around the country went to midnight showinga of The Dark Knight Returns, because they were hotly anticipating watching and enjoying the film, and while some of those people were doing that, like, literally while they were sitting there watching the movie, they got fucking shot and killed and are now dead, and will be dead forever.

I almost literally laughed at that post, but I controlled myself because I didn't want my wife asking me, "Whats so funny?" and having to explain it.

But they were literally JUST SITTING THERE AND THINKING, "THIS WAS WORTH THE WAIT!! IM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY WATCH THIS" AND THEN THEY WERE FUCKING SHOT DEAD.

Dont forget this may be part of the agenda for disarming american people. Its sad, wrong and painful but let us not have grief over the eyes to the point that we wont see it straight.

The problem with this is that it's going to make the Nolan movies even more overrated and overblown than they already are.

Whatever, I'm just waiting for the Onion's take.
