Those fake anti-spyware computer hijacking programs |
|

First of all, is there anyone here who has NOT gotten hit with one of these (PIECES OF SHIT) at one time or another?
If my own experience, and that of others around me, is typical, virtually all of you will have suffered through at least one round of these.
Second, where the fuck do these come from? How do they get onto the machine?
I know that they're somehow embedded in websites, because people get them who haven't downloaded or installed anything, but I'm curious how this is accomplished by the developers (who should be hung by their fucking nutsacks over pits of acid until they fall in, to the acid).
Third, how is it possible that these have not been categorically stopped by a fucking Windows security update that should have been released fucking years ago after the first programs of this ilk started appearing? How is Microsoft that shitty that this could not have been resolved by now? How is a thing to stop this once and for all not included among the 18 billion daily fucking Automatic Updates that are constantly FORCE RESTARTING my computer? |

I've never gotten one of these, but my dad did, and I told him I would no longer fix his computer unless he stopped using Internet Explorer. Problem solved. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

I've never gotten one because I don't visit inappropriate websites. |

Trust me, you can.
There are ways now of these coming in without clicking or consenting to anything.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drive-by_download
FOR EXAMPLE:
"all major web browsers request a favicon at a web page. If this file is not existent, a custom HTTP 404 (not found) page can download a trojan horse."
You can pick this shit up just from opening PDFs, or ad-embedded Java applets loading.
You should read the wiki article that I linked.
It's from that wiki, Wikipedia. |

I never use any defender or anti-ware program. They're all resource-hogging stupidity. I just simply wipe and reinstall the OS every 6 months. And if there's anything important to save, I'll do it on an external hard drive.
This will be always be the only real solution to software management. |

You get it by clicking on the icon to run Internet Explorer, or the link to download Adobe Acrobat. They're well deserved in most cases. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Have to go deal with this piece of shit AGAIN today.
That's three times, just this year, with three separate people.
Seriously, how have none of you had this? |
