This thread is about animals that rule, or that maybe people don't know so much about.

How about javilenas and razorbacks! I've always thought that some of the coolest/scariest animals around are the different species of wild hogs.

Somebody mentioned nutrias in another thread. Yeah, nutrias.

I guess I don't really feel like putting any effort into this thread but I already typed this post, so here it comes.

I've always wanted to make a book about exotic and lesser known animals!

Cassowaries are pretty much my favorite bird. They're the third largest in the world, and because of their size and razor sharp talons are considered the world's deadliest bird!


Pangolins are just related to armadillos, I guess, but look pretty cool anyway.


Giant African land snails look like regular snails, except as the name implies, are 1,000x larger. Their mucous can cause spinal meningitis and they're illegal in the U.S.


Mantis shrimps are extremely cool-looking, but I guess aren't that strange. But apparently they have some of the fastest reflexes in the animal kingdom, I've heard.


Spiny back spiders? More like, what the fuck are these things!
