I need a good Google alternative. Their site has become increasingly annoying, and the excessively high placement of Twitter results is the last straw.
Unfortunately it looks like Yahoo highly rates Conservapaedia for some reason. Is Bing pretty much the only reasonable alternative left? _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

What's annoying about Google other than the approximate matching? |

This movie's pantheistic message is dangerous. When we worship the creation and not the Creator, we become focused on the deism of all things, even insects, and there are no ethics because there is no superior being. When no idea is right or wrong, chaos and death will reign. |

Yeah someone has to be superior to tell others what to do. |

As predictable as this sounds, conservapedia is kind of amazing, and their page on the homosexual agenda is so sexy.
"Vic Eliason of Crosstalk America rightly points out that if all Americans turned homosexual it would only take a few generations for the United States to lose most of the population of the country through lack of procreation. This would make the US more vulnerable to attack by our enemies."
I also learned that Barack Obama has declared February Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month which I guess means we don't have a Black History Month anymore. |

I would also like to make a thread that ostensibly asks the forum for information and advice on a subject, even though it's extremely unlikely that any poster would know anything about the subject that I wouldn't already be aware of, the actual purpose of the thread being just to make sure that everyone knows that I'm on the hunt for yet another Internet-related thing to be a radical contrarian elitist shithead about. |

Because it's elitist not to want Twitter results highly ranked on searches?
Have you ever actually used Google and wanted to see Twitter information? I don't think Google even provides additional value when searching Twitter as is, since their own search seems better.
The Chrome ads are just plain annoying. I'm not going to use their piece of shit browser, and I don't need an ad plastered sporadically on their homepage to try to get me to use it. Google used to be spartan, and the ad detracts significantly from that.
For the fading, I just find animation fairly annoying in general. It's especially moreso because it happens without me doing anything, and also because it reminds me of what it looks like when Firefox crashes on Vista.
There are also a ton of minor things that annoy me. Various privacy issues, making Youtube more cumbersome to navigate, and trying to get me to link accounts.
Anyway, I don't really know anything about search engines anymore, since I've mostly used Google for the past decade. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

I like how, instead of pointing out black american significant cultural contributions to the US (which philistine whites desperately needed,),
black history month makes up made-up scientific accomplishments of black people, which further demeans them |

The most unbelievable thing about the Twitter results is that Google paid Twitter $15 million for that shit. Not only is that setting an unbelievably bad precedent, but it also diminishes the value of the search! _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Yeah but they talk about Twitter on tv all the time! How could it possibly be bad to be linked to them!? |

The number of people I know who do not use/despise Twitter outnumbers the people who use/enjoy it by at least 2 to 1.
That either says something favorable about the people I associate with, or it says, I don't know, something crazy! |

I don't really despise it, I just don't think that it's that great. And it's certainly not at all what people are acting like it is.
Twitter isn't actually that popular, either. It's partly an illusion created by the MSM because Twitter is something that serves their purposes. Ie. a way to get immediate comments on any subject while restricting that comment to something that fits in a soundbite, and also hijacking trendiness at the same time. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |
