Most games now a days haven't been so bad when you die. Like inFAMOUS and even Arkham Asylum they just put you a chunk back and let you keep going.

I've beat a couple of stages but the game requires a lot of grinding.

Also spears are way better than swords.

I think the repetition is the big downfall. Adrenaline will flood your boner whenever a boss appears until it subsequently obliterates you in a single stroke and you flaccidly slog through the same level again for fifteen minutes fighting the same enemies who appear in the same exact places just so you can be pulverized once more. Checkpoints, please! And somehow that's still kind of addicting.
