I think it's safe to put Paper Planes by MIA on the list (Slumdog Millionaire, Pineapple Express, Capitalism: A Love Story), it gets extra points for only being out for like 2 years before everybody started using it. What other songs get used in trailers a lot?

The Faces - Ooh La La which I've heard in at least two movies and a commercial within the past year.

I remember Baba O'Reilly being used in a bunch of sports movies along with American Beauty.

Fuck, I had no idea I Wish That I Knew What I Know Now When I Was Younger was called Ooh La La and was by the Faces. They've got some other song I didn't know was by them and is in a lot of movie previews but... I forget what it is Sad Maybe it isn't by them, maybe it's by the Small Faces or Sweet or something.

Lux Aeterna actually moved quickly down the pike from being used in Requiem For a Dream, to lots of trailers, to too many trailers, then to every Internet faggot fan trailer on YouTube, then was finally shat into the final toilet of ironic use in "funny" YouTube clips.
