Ganon emerges from his epic battle with Ass to Ass Guy, heaving. He clutches his TRIDENT (!) and his eyes glow a horrific yellow. He holds his right hand defiantly in the air, the symbol of the Triforce of Power glowing radiantly, burning his fist. The Great King of Evil bellows at the Heavens, and a circle of flame envelops both him and...

SOLID SNAKE

"Otacon, we have a problem."

"Careful, Snake!"

Snake was defeated under auspicious circumstances in the first round by the nightmarish Pyramid Head, but got a second chance when he put down The Man With No Name in a true man's gun duel (unless the player decided to use a Nikita instead, which I would). While his initial loss made him an underdog, Snake defied expectations and his genetic birthright by vanquishing the Godlike Dr. Manhattan in round two, thanks to some very helpful calculations by Otacon.

Snake hoists the Stinger missile launcher onto his shoulder and fires at Ganon's head, but the villain knocks it away.

"Otacon, how can I hit him!"

"He has to have a weakness, Snake, just hold on ... !"
