Let's face it, there has never been a black super hero on the big screen like this.

And everyone hates it before seeing it!

He drinks, bullies little children, in the prison system. Possibly every stereotype you can imagine about the black male seems like it is in this.

Yet he is a superhero and saves the world!?!?

Spiderman - poor white kid, intelligent, tying to get a girlfriend. Bit by spider and saves the city.

Batman - rich white man, intellligent, bitter with crime, saves a make believe city.

Iron Man - rich white man, intelligent, provides weapons for the terrorists. don't know if he saved the world because the weapons are still being sold to the terrorists lol.

Hancock - poor black man, in the system, drunk. His only contribution to the world is he SAVES it!

Let's face given our ideas of what superheroes shoudl be, this film is forcing us to check our ignorances.

Like people who will vote McCain just so Obama doesn't get elected. Dems who go Repub so Obama doesn't get elected. Does RACE play a factor? Or is there more to it?

That's the way of the world.

No matter how good the movie, people will not just like it for this simple fact of our ignorances.
