That last game pissed me off, because I died foolishly(trying to attack everything with the quarterstaff) despite starting off with good spells (Fire Bolt and Teleportation)

I've found that Teleportation and Teleport control can increase your survivability tenfold if you remember to exploit it.

Teleportation is a very good spell to start with.

My current game is quite good. I'm level 5 and I have the blanket, plus I have done sheriff quest. Plus, my starting spells were frost and magic missles.

the first room of the puppy cave has the "high tension" message, so I'll be able to slaughter a lot of creatures!

I died by a dire wolf with only 616 points. This is harder than I thought it would be and I guess I should learn the commands before just diving recklessly.

How do you rest until you're healed? I can't remember and it doesn't seem to say in the ? help thing.

press ? for help.

But here are the main keys to start.

First choose Troll Barbarian, since as I said, its easier.

Below is case sensitive.

Arrow keys to move. go to the direction of a monster to attack it.

I is inventory. To arm yourself, wear something, etc, just go to inventory, click the letter of what you want to change, and you'll go to a screen where you'll choose what you want.

, to pick up stuff.

e is to eat stuff. As you are a troll, remember eat a lot. Just munch on the corpses . You can either eat them while they are on the ground, or pick them up and eat them later. Just remember they rot after a while if you carry them for too long.

Servbot, for your first quest, do this. First go to the town, which is just a few steps away from where you are.

press > to go in the town. > means to go down, and < is to go up. (usually stairs)

Then look for the red t . thats the little girl. Go to her, and press c to talk to her. she will ask yo to look for her puppy. Go out of the town, and then go to north-east. A small * will appear. thats the cave. Go to it, press > and look for the puppy.

Servbot, here is an example of some of the things ADOM has that other games dont have.

Lets say you kill a monster. Its corpse may drop. So you stand beside it, and cast the spell FIRE BOLT. It heats it, and the corpse is cooked, making it better for eating.

Can I choose to eat any corpse? They seem to disappear after I kill them.
