I don't know what that bullshit means, but my prescription is -5.25 and -5.00 for right and left respectively (for distance vision).

Although that was quite a while ago, so they're probably -6.00 by now.

I thought an astigmatism had nothing to do with how well you can see (which would be eye shape), but rather the muscle control for focusing on things getting all fucked up.

Isn't Mike training to be an optometrist or something?

The cornea shape absolutely controls how well you see. Astigmatism is just an abnormal cornea which results in blurred vision.

I am nearsighted and have glasses to read things far away. Back in high school when my vision was first tested, I had 20/25 in one eye and 20/40 in the other Confused

I'm not in school anymore so I don't need them for their original purpose (to read the board), but I tend to put them on when I'm *working.* That's in asteriks because it's more of a psychological tool to tell myself I'm doing important things rather than a practical one (I don't need them to see a drawing or monitor that's two feet away from my eyes).

I'd like to say I have a good sense of smell since it would almost be like having a superpower, but in reality it's probably no better than anyone else's. I think I'm just more perturbed by smells than other people.

I'd agree with Theldorrin's comment about acute smell being a hindrance since the world is full of offensive odors (colognes and perfumes are the worst for me).

My hearing's good, I think.
