I might be breaking up with my girlfriend soon, and it made me feel really lonely and sad, even though she and I aren't very serious. She and I are actually on exactly the same page (We sure as shit aren't in love, but it's nice to have somebody to watch movies with, also holding hands on the bus), so I'm kind of relieved. Until this point, I had no idea what it would be like when the summer came, since she would make vague comments about me coming up to her cottage, and even though I may not be tearing up cunts left and right this summer, she and I don't have great **online chemistry**, so if she was online at all this summer it would just be me feeling uncomfortable and asking her sup, then we'd talk successfully or unsuccessfully, then I'd feel bad for a while. Oh, I said "and even though I may not be tearing up cunts left and right this summer" and finished the sentence with stuff that has nothing to do with that. What I mean is, I'm not tearing my hair out thinking that I would have a girlfriend many hours away from me for several months, while I'm sitting at home or doing moderate hangout this summer.

I'm having trouble connecting with people at school. This is one of the things that makes me sad about breaking up with my girlfriend. She and I could definitely be fair friends, without going into a laundry list of interests and personality traits that qualify people for different levels of friendship. But it's stressful to only have fair friends. Maybe every person is fundamentally alone, but that's one of those things like death where it's unrealistic and gay to pretend a human can healthily accept the idea. What's great about having a girlfriend is that it lets you manually create what is at least superficially a serious human connection. That allure is kind of scary, though, since there's only so much you can screen people and your relationship with them to tell how serious they are about it, and in the end they might just be lying to themself and you about their real feelings.

I hung out with Stefan and Spamdini this weekend and it was awesome! But since this post is about bein' gay, I should also mention that on the train ride home I got intensely depressed thinking about the scumfucks I normally hang out with here. I mean yeah, whatever, diff'rent strokes, but these are such dull and ignorant stupid fucks. The problem is that I have trouble being proactive in any relationship, including friendship, so these guys kind of overpowered my defenses by wanting to be friends with me.

I generally can't bear reading other people's journal threads so that's why I don't feel so bad making mine unreadable.
