Outland, I'm not saying that cops and judges in America aren't huge assholes. In fact I consider cops to be my second greatest natural enemies, after evangelical christians. But the fact of the matter is, if you get caught with a fucking SEED of marijuana in Japan you're guaranteed to go to jail for at least a year. In Japan 15% of high school students hold the opinion that people should be allowed to use drugs as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, and the government considers that to be a HUGE problem. I'm just listing off these statistics because I wrote a paper on this, but Japan isn't even that hardassed compared to places like Singapore, where you'll probably get the death penalty or some shit for possession.

So yeah, America sucks balls, but there are really only a handfull of countries that suck balls significantly less. I guess you should go to Sweden or the Netherlands or some shit.

The point I should have been making is that, yeah, American drug policy is complete terrible bullshit and makes me extremely angry, but it's ridiculous to say that the penalties for marijuana are harsher than those for cocaine. I know from firsthand experience that a marijuana charge will get you a slap on the wrist unless you're trafficking huge amounts of it.

Americans drug policy is blatant fascism and if the US did things by the book you would be receiving above asiatic levels of punishment.

And yes, I am against any policy that can conceivably prosecute or imprison large numbers of innocent people for bullshit reasons, because thats not the way fucking democracy works.
