I guess I was a fanboy even before the game came out. I first read about it in PC Gamer and then basically bought it the day it came out. I special ordered BG2 and everything.

I've told Rice this many times, but right around the time of the game, I had strep throat and then faked being sick when I was better so I could finish it.

Wasteland came out in 88. One of the big reasons I haven't downloaded it is that you need the manual to play from what I've read (all the dialog was in the manual as numbered paragraphs the game just refers you to certain ones).

It was released in January of 1987 for the Apple II.

Anyway, you should play the C64 version, because the C64 version of games from that era are invariably better.

Actually, it's release date is a mystery to me, since everywhere seems to say it was released in 1987, but it was in the 1986 Hall of Fame according to Computer Gaming World.

Well, John, you can easily purchase a bundle for 15 to 25 bucks that has both games (definately worth it). There's also a dvd bundle that has Fallout Tactics and some bonus material, but Fallout Tactics fucking sucks.

You shouldent have any problems John, I Played Fallout and Fallout 2 on my current PC and it ran fine. WinXP, amd 2600, 512mb ram.

TURION X2 2.2ghz 256 VIDEO as of right now 1g stick of ram cause the other 1 stick was bad!!! but i need to RMA this thing cause it crashes and locks up in games. i get Blue screens playing WoW
