Occam's razor is usually spelled with the double c's, but William of Ockham is usually spelled as indicated. It's because it's not modern English.
Asian philosophers are generally incoherent. |

Maybe lao tzu and all those zen guys, but the military guys are pretty head on. I dunno how someone as fond of CHina as you are can dismiis Confucious or Mencius either |

I hate nihilism, and all of the stupid people that claim to be nihilists but aren't.
Confucius is the reason that China never expanded or progressed beyond what they were.
A lot of military people aren't philosophers, in the typical sense of the word. Much of their stuff is almost like self help book material. |

Theldorrin probably hates Confucious because he was all about family values.
Admiral Zheng He wasn't allowed to sail around the world with his massive armada, conquering and colonizing foreign nations because it was shameful to do that stuff while your parents are still alive or something. |

I think I understand this anime now.
She goes after the kid, because she knows that she can't get her sensei, because he's too good for her. Of course, that's only the case because of her ridiculous hairstyle. If she just got it cut, she wouldn't have to settle for the boring guy, and could aim higher. |

You should watch Planetes. If you like Star Trek, you should at least find that mildly amusing. |

I've never known if Planetes was supposed to be a pun/portmanteau of gametes, and it was some weird, heavily symbolic 2001 or Evangelion-like story with planets being reproductive organs or something. If it is, I'm intrigued. If not, fuck that shit. |

I guess it's not actually like Star Trek. |

Did Mencius steal philosophies from everyone else and replace some other popular race-based philosopher who became a hermit? |

So, I finished watching Piano and I have mixed feelings on the ending. It's probably the fault of the music director. The piece that they played in the last episode was not very good. |

I've already seen Kenshin, Username.
Anyway, the deal with the sensei is that he was the older sister's boyfriend in the past, so that's why they didn't go that route.
Of course, I knew this like 2 episodes ahead of it being introduced, because it was obvious when he recognized their cat, and clear that her mother wasn't having an affair. Anime is very predictable. |

I approve of Epicureanism.
Any version should be ok, but make sure it's Leo Delibes' Flower Duet from Lakme, and not Puccini's Flower Duet from Madama Butterfly, since they're not the same and just happen to have the same name.
There's probably a Naxos version that's high quality. |

I'm actually a bit surprised you are able to pick and choose which version. Or are you buying it? |

Haha, just kidding, she's just sort of decent looking and has massive tits, and for some reason people pay her an amount of attention that enables her to I guess be a huge bitch. |

Well, it's a duet, so you should find a version that has two singers. |
