That's actually very common in the media industry. Believe it or not, even artists in museums are "ghostwritten".
You see, the image of the artists has more value than the art. The art itself is worthless without recognition, but channeling consistent work through one known actor brings money.
Some music "artists" like Courtney Love have never actually fully written a song in their lives.
I'd ghost write for an artist in a heartbeat (or just about anything for a real paycheck). |

It's pretty easy to tell who wrote particular Dr. Dre songs if you're familiar with their flow. "Forgot About Dre" is obviously Eminem, almost everything on The Chronic is obviously Snoop Dogg, "Express Yourself" is obviously Ice Cube, etc.
