And now because the IPod was successful, any product Apple makes has all of gay Apple fans going, yeah, but the IPod was a success!

Meanwhile the IPod was competing with things that weren't really entrenched, and it only cost a few bucks more than stuff from creative and whatnot.

No company offers a smart phone for free. Its apples Blackberry. I saw a demo of it at the AT&T store and it works pretty good. But its not worth the price people buying it for the MP3 function are retarted.

The Web looks alot better on it then On my samsung. From what everyone is saying its also running a full OS and not a PDA os like other smart phones.

The OS doesn't really matter, because there are no applications for the iPhone that aren't built in.

A normal phone has more features than the iPhone because of this.

My previous one was a Windows I-Mate, which I am repairing (it got damaged) and I'm going to use it as a mini-Pocket PC.

It's funny that people are all amazed at the 'full OS' bluster of the iPhone. When in reality there is all sorts of crud in there that would be totally unnecessary.

Regardless, there have been systems running Linux for ages, and that doesn't get any buzz even though Linux scales much higher than Mac OS X.

I also find their battery claims to be not at all believable.
