| Death Wish is a criticism of the death penalty being outlawed while Dirty Harry is a criticism of placing the rights of the accused above the rights of victims. |

IF the "victim" is a woman than placing the rights of the accused above in fact makes a lot of sense
I dont understand how death wish, a series about murderous vigilanism is a critcism of the death penalty. Not that such are mutually exclusive, but I still dont see it |

| It's not a criticism of the death penalty, it's a criticism of the removal of the death penalty. |

If the victim is anyone then it makes more sense for the accused rights to be considered more important. That's the point!
He's saying that it's a criticism of eliminating the death penalty, Outland.
It's amazing how many people are so completely immoral. |

| The strong protections for the accused serve the important function of giving us a legitimate and civilized criminal justice system. |

| If you're black it's logical that you are a criminal in the first place and should probably receive some sort of pardon for your crime |

| I think it's safe to say that both series are about middle-aged men using impossibly powerful firearms to dissolve goons. Their political messages are either transparently ludicrous if you disagree with them, or irrelevant if you're the kind of foamy-mouthed psychopath who already holds them. |
