Is Mafia that game where everybody sits in a circle and closes their eyes, and then one guy's the narrator, and he keeps his eyes open, and then one guys the mafia, and the narrator says, "MAFIA WAKE UP" and the mafia chooses one person to kill, and then everybody wakes up, and that person's dead, and everybody has to decide who killed him, and then the judge says he thinks it's this guy, and so we kill him, and then we all go back to sleep, and if nobody dies, he's right, but if somebody dies, then you haven't killed the mafia?

Because I use to play that game with my work partners when I worked for U.S.P.I.R.G. raising money for the Sierra Club, which is the nation's oldest and largest grassroots environmental group.

I almost joined O.P.I.R.G. but I ended up just losing the information pack they gave me (Which looked like I was supposed to return it after I read it) and never going back to their building.

I don't understand how Mafia could be played online since 90% of the game is like, "I think it's him. He's got a shifty look in his eye!"

It's because they oppose things like nuclear power, and are a major reason why most of American electricity comes from very filthy sources, like coal.

And groups like Greenpeace also opposed genetically modified crops.

A large number of environmental groups are better characterized as being anti-technology groups. These luddites think that the best course of action is to use stone tools and whatnot. And somehow for the Earth's population to magically decrease to a level sustainable at that technology level.
