I don't necessarily disagree with that. It's certainly hipster jack-off material. That said, the deleted scenes do reveal a lot about the plot, and it's essentially the most shining example of this that I can think of.

Gattaca's deleted scenes are vital.

Isn't Donnie Darko that movie that was made solely to convince Psarosian teenagers that they really are smarter than all those dicks?

Yeah, Donnie Darko makes no sense without the deleted scenes.

Do the deleted scenes fill up the plot holes?

I was actually pretty baffled as to why they cut some of them out.

Post     Re: Movie Question

The deleted scene in Gattaca with Anton being discovered by the detective was extraneous and detracted from the overall movie.

Maybe that's why it's a deleted scene.

The deleted scene in Donnie Darko where he found out his pills were placebos wasn't.

The coda was neat, but I don't need anyone to tell me to be afraid of the human genome project because then I might not have been born.

The scene with Caesar absolutely should have been left in, though.

Theldorrin, what was it that Vincent left in his locker. I couldn't figure it out. the deleted scenes are very blurry for some reason.

That's my favourite deleted scene (technically scenes, since it's 2 related ones).

I also like the visit to the 8th Day Center.
