Werewolf Nazis was bad because it felt like a skit instead of an actual movie trailer. The rest seemed like they could actually be stuff lifted from unbelievably bad movies.

I was talking about how I didn't like Death Proof the other night in chat but now that I've thought about it more I actually did think it was pretty awesome. However there's like a 15 minute conversation between 4 girls in a diner and it was just totally unacceptable.

This movie is bombing at the box office but will probably be considered successful after DVD. It's still not what the studio would expect.

I guess I feel a little relieved and vindicated that Tarantino can't just masturbate onto celluloid and automatically make millions, but this also might mean that Robert Rodriguez hits a very inconvenient speed bump and will be back for Spy Kids 4.

I saw Grindhouse again. The overall experience was worse since the crowd wasn't very into it, and Planet Terror is really hinged on the crowd's reaction. Plus, once you see Planet Terror once, it really doesn't feel like you need to see it again.

I liked Death Proof more this time and I have a better understanding of what problems it had. The dialog is very good and I could tell Tarantino was too in love with it to cut it, but the second half was just too much. Usually Tarantino will mix it up with MUSIC or little scenes to switch up the pace, but here he just had the girls bitching at each other out in the middle of nowhere scene after scene. They should've shoved Kurt Russel in there (although he was at the diner) doing something cool, I suppose, or just cut down on the talking.

After hearing people talk about Death Proof, I have no interest in seeing it whatsoever.
