I have literally died well over 100,000 times in ADOM. |

The most frustrating thing about ADOM is that you can play for months, and not even come close to finishing it, yet you read usenet posts, and fucking crazy gamers put challenges for themselves to make it more difficult. |

I don't understand how people can complain about the ease of the game. They have to be doing something fundamentally different, like meticulously planning each step the PC takes. |

Guys, lets make the exact same characters, and see who gets the most points. |

How would we ensure our stats are the same? Also I think if I started playing ADOM again it would be a really bad idea. |

I think they basically simulate the game in their head and use that to determine every course of action.
It's pretty absurd.
I just charge into shit. |

I actually had a character who I believed was capable of at least getting a couple of the orbs and shit(I had plundered the Tomb of High Kings!) and he got petrified by a Gorgon when I was wandering around in the Big Room. I was dead before I even realized it! |

I think the hardest part is when your character gets powerful, so you become a bit careless with weak monsters, but suddenly out of now where, comes a powerful creature, and before you know it, you are dead. |

I say human wizard, because I think they are powerful and you can do a lot with them, but really I'm up for anything as long as it's not Bard or Merchant or some shit. |

I'll do this, although it's quite likely that I'll die on the first monster, since that happens to me quite often. |
