I've POSTED ABOUT THIS BEFORE, but the THEORY, and this sounds about right to me, is that the rape fantasy has nothing to do with actually wanting to be raped.
It's about the fact that for women rape is a CONSTANT AND FRIGHTENING THREAT, and fantasizing about it is a form of "practice." The fantasy can be controlled, while the reality can't. So its coping with the fear by being in control at least in fantasy.
