Because Achewood, even when weak, is still one of the most amazing thigns on Earth. |

It was dangerously Internet-memey. |

Its part in the comic was making fun of internet memes, but it's very hard not to take out of context and use just as offensively as the RUBBISH it was deriding. |

The several panels of awkward expressions is overused and getting a bit tiresome in Achewood, but it is still far and beyond the best comic strip in production anywhere.
Pearls Before Swine is starting to overcome Get Fuzzy as my second favorite. |

Spamdini, I had a dream that some FTU person owned a restaurant, and they made the slogan something like "Everyone can enjoy our root beer floats, but they're good enough for Spamdini too."
What is ... the deal? |

What are the chances of me being disappointed and upset if I sit down and read Achewood for an hour or two? |

I had a dream that I was pretending to be in high school, and I was using GLASSES as my disguise (I don't know, like Clark Kent I guess), and some girls came out to do a presentation for the class, and somehow the presentation involved one of them (who said "I'M 14!") giving me a lap dance to loud slutty music in front of everybody.
After that was over I stood up and said "I'm an old man on a mission!" and left the room. |

I'm really glad for this thread, because I had all sorts of important dreams last night.
FUCK, THEY WERE SO ACTION-PACKED, I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER THEM ALL.
A running theme was, I met an alien named Buster, who was an inch worm that spoke unaccented English in a girl's voice. Everybody was going out to a river to drown themselves, and I went out there and got in the water, but I lost my nerve (I stood on top of some other drowning people to escape, I'm not sure why I didn't just swim). Somewhere in that hubbub, I lost Buster, and uh, man, I really don't think I should even bother trying to explain this anymore, because it was very emotional at the time and it seems wrong to dishonor its memory this way. At one point I dreamt that the stuff about Buster had been a dream, and I was trying to explain that dream to somebody, and it was all pretty *camera zooms out, planet is made of weed*
It was very scary and unpleasant realizing I don't have what it takes to drown myself in a river like everybody else. |

Achewood is character-oriented, so it's hard to pick out strips that would be funny completely on their own.
I tried to find some for Psaturn (I know, right?), and I'd feel bad about my failure, but in that same conversation he said Red Meat is awesome, so I guess I've just accepted that some people aren't as good as other people. |
