Post     Perennial Movie Favorites

I made this thread because I just watched Life Aquatic for the 25th time and I wanted to know what movies everyone else does this with. This doesn't necessarily have to be your all time greatest film, just ones that you manage to watch every year for whatever reason.

The only movies that I ever watch intentionally over and over again either by introducing it to someone or just because I want to see it again are Life Aquatic, Snatch, Space Mutiny (I count MST3K episodes) and Eternal Sunshine. OH, and A Mighty Wind would be on here if I had a copy of the DVD.

As far as movies that I always watch on cable I think it's just Die Hard: With A Vengeance, Death Wish 3 and Naked Gun.

Any movie I have is a movie I watch a lot, or a movie that I'd want to show friends when they come over.

In that case, I own Spaceballs, Airplane, Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later, The Seventh Seal, a few MST3k's that I watch once every few weeks, The Fifth Element, John Carpenter's Vampires and I guess the Austin Powers trilogy.

I have a really hard time watching movies repeatedly.

I can't even really do it with ones that I thoroughly enjoy.

Usually me too, that's why I made this thread.

Like, I really enjoy the movie Patton, but I can't imagine ever wanting to see it again.

The Big Lebowski is a very good choice because that movie forced me to change my opinion of John Goodman.

Did you not like him before? It's hard for me to hate fat actors, although I'm sure I'm not thinking about the ones that annoy me.

Also, I've seen every INDIANA JONZE movie several times, and I should watch them again soon.

The only thing I remember him from was that he was part of Roseanne, a show that I have a psychological aversion to.

I don't think he really did too many good movies before Lebowski either, but I could be wrong.

I think I just like him because he's fat and I like his voice and I occasionally associate him with John Candy, whom I also like.

I should probably watch The Blues Brothers.

I watched Billy Madison maybe 150 times in college. I also watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Half-Baked, and Fight Club many times, but not every other fucking day.

I can watch any part of Godfather I or II basically any number of times. The same goes for Patton.

The best movie to always watch on cable is probably Bloodsport.

FUCK. Yeah, Billy Madison is seriously MAGICAL in how purely retarded it is, and how that retarded shit is still hilarious every time you watch it.
