It seemed like there was some stuff that didn't really go anywhere. I don't really know what the significance of Calypso being freed was, for example. Also the parts where Johnny Depp talks to himself felt really goofy but all in all I enjoyed the movie and it did a fairly good job of wrapping things up. There must be some kind of story I've never heard about pirate lords because I can't imagine these movies ripped off something as goofy as One Piece but the similarities are just staggering.

Well, i've never seen One Piece but Disney has been known to steal ideas from Japanimation before.

This movie was very good. All three Pirate movies are very fun and extremely entertaining. Yeah, the whole Calypso thing made little sense, Will Turner continued to be a waste of space (until the end), and few other things detracted from the movie, but I'll probably see it one or two more times before buying on DVD.

And I'll see the fourth, if they make it, especially since it looks like Will and Liz's story is over.

I liked the first movie alright.

Derek didn't.

However, he enjoyed the second movie a lot, and I thought it was kind of bad.

It was too fucking long and Not enough Keith Richards. But other than that it was a pretty good movie better than the crapfest of Dead Mans Chest. The 1st one is still king Undead pirates are better than fish pirates.

I didn't dislike the first movie I just felt it was a tad slow, and I haven't had any interest in a second viewing. The second movie is superior, but from everything I've heard the third gets too bogged down in crap.

This is more my subjective opinion. Orlando Bloom is a faggot, and he has a smaller part in the second movie which contributed to my liking it more. After the whole trilogy nonsense is over people will probably remember the first and consider it to be the best of the three.

Orlando bloom is a huge fag on the 3rd one, but Jack is better in the 3rd so its a trade off. I dont remeber much of the 2nd being asleep threw most of it.
