I've completed most everything that gives you the trophies or ribbons I would get in elementary school and eating chalk on the sideline of a little league soccer game and get the ball one time and go ambling towards the goal, not hearing the shouts of of complete "WHAT! " and scoring a goal, the one time I had the ball, as the goalkeeper stood there finding the series of actions with an incredulous look on his face, as I noticed it was my brother, looked back and saw my dad with his hand on his forehead and take a gulp of beer, later learning the one tie I had the ball the whole season I scored an own goal, ambling 3/4 down the field.

Oh yes, about those ribbons, I've done and unlocked just about everything in the game. I'm still playing it and Etrian Odessey 4, which is difficult as there are no more quests and I'm rapidly losing interest

I haven't watched them and probably never will because it seems kind of silly to release recap movies for a 12 episode series. That's like five hours long. You can watch it in less than one waking day! Double dipping bitches.

I'll watch it when it has aired completely because according to Wikipedia it contains three of five genres I enjoy immensely ( Dark fantasy, tragedy and dystopia are dynamite. Action and horror can suck it.) If it managed to fit in a comedic slice of life angle I would nominate for greatest human achievement since anything I've ever accomplished.

Lost Universe

Jesus Christ, did this take forever to get going. Loading the first 2/3 to 3/4 of the series with filler probably wasn't the best way to keep people interested.
Anyway, think Slayers crossed with Cowboy Bebop and you'll probably have a good idea as to what to expect. The motley crew of a spaceship starts out taking on random odd jobs and ends up going up against an evil criminal organization bent on taking over the universe.

Characters:

Kane Blueriver - Captain of the starship Swordbreaker, you can tell he's the main character since he looks like a male Lina Inverse and wields a (not THE) Sword of Light. He loves his cape and gets ripped on constantly by various people because wearing capes is apparently not in style in outer space. This personality quirk is dropped completely a few episodes in, though, so he sadly becomes a fairly generic anime hero.

Millennium some long name I don't remember - Mostly obnoxious girl who basically blackmails her way onto Kane's ship. She spends equal amounts of time shooting stuff, cooking, bitching/moaning, and going on about being the best (insert job title or skill here) in the universe.

Canal - The Swordbreaker's adorable A.I. system, depicted as a holographic projection of a green-haired, twin braided girl. Best character in the series by a ridiculous margin.

Rail Claymore - Long-haired pretty boy member of the Galactic Police oops I mean the Universal Guardians. He gives Kane jobs every so often. That's about it. He does become kind of important later.

Nina somebody - Rail's ditzy assistant who has a schoolgirl crush on him. She fries electronic equipment by touching it for some reason that's never actually explained.

Villains include an old guy with a beard, another old guy without a beard, some bitch with a whip obsessed with fighting Kane for some reason, and Evil Gourry. Yeah, they could have worked on developing Kane's enemies a little more.

Overall worth seeing once I guess, especially if you want to catch the handful of Slayers references, but probably not more than that.

Attack on Titan is pretty great. I haven't seen anything too much like it. Visually, it reminds me of Claymore.
