I basically tell people how old I am these days. Like, they say, "how old are you?" and I say "29."

But that all fucking changes in two weeks.

I solemnly swear to GOD that I am going to tell people I am 24, until I can no longer get away with it. I know I will be able to do this for at least a couple more years, because I still get carded in bars and poker clubs, and not in a "this is just a technicality" way. After having lost 30 pounds and getting into much better shape, people are now looking at my ID suspiciously and are like, "You were born in 77???" Like they can't believe it!

This is serious shit. I am not fucking supposed to be 30. This is a horrible nightmare. Last night I was lying in bed thinking about Back to the Future, and how Michael J. Fox got away with playing a 17 year old when he was 21, and then on the damn cusp of 30 for the sequels, and like all those scenes where he's walking around in the high school, and I decided that sometime in the next couple weeks I'm going to do that.

I'm going to go to Santa Cruz High and just walk around. I forgot what 17/18 year olds look like so I want to look at them en masse and measure up. My goal is to be mistaken for a student, if even from a distance. That guy in Gay News really inspired me.
