I used to read a lot too. The reason it stopped is because my parents used to force me to go to bed at a certain time, and since I didn't want to sleep yet, I would just lie awake for several hours every night reading books by neon clock light.

Now that I live on my own, there's no incentive to not be a useless shithead that only watches anime and reloads baseball box scores all day.

Actually, it's gotten to the point where I commend myself for watching anime or playing a video game, because at least I'm accomplishing something and seeing SOME kind of story. I spend too much of my day learning and experiencing nothing.

I just finished Darkly Dreaming Dexter and I enjoyed it.

Next I am going to read Dearly Devoted Dexter.

I guess I should give a better review of Darkly Dreaming Dexter.

It's not as good as the TV show. The show does a better job of connecting Dexter with the Ice Truck Killer and doesn't rely on a retarded plot device. It's seriously some shit that Chris Psaros would write about. The end is also quite a bit different.

I'd almost say it wasn't worth reading after watching the show if Dearly Devoted Dexter wasn't so good. Because of the differences, especially in the end, between the show and the book, you might be confused. Then again, I guess you could read Wikipedia or some shit. Anyway, I haven't gotten too far into Dearly Devoted, but it is much more interesting so far. The BAD GUY is pretty fucked up in an awesome way. It's like something out of a Japanese horror movie except not shitty.
