He wasn't responsible for anything in the first round, and considering how the last game ended because of his absenteeism, why would you expect him to continually be prolific?

"I knew this would happen."

The mass of people surround "Mad" Hector Dorrin's home. They continue to pound their fists on his door.

"It's you, you terrorist asshole!" shouts Percy Saturn. "We know it's you!"

Dorrin's basement. Pitch black, save the sleek shine of a dozen well-polished exoskeletons. Lone red LEDs blink here and there. The whir of a functional Turing Machine. One of his fifty computer monitors displays a new text message sent from the cell phone of Matt Hall.

Is it really true, Hector?

It's no longer a battle worth fighting, Matthew.

My father trusted you! How could you do this to us!

Enough. Show me some of your father's legendary courage.

Dorrin appears on a monitor situated on the right of his front door. Connected to a two-way feed, he gazes out blankly at the crowd.

"Let us in, you fucking murderer!" Saturn shouts at the monitor.

"If I do so, you will kill me."

"It's what you deserve!"

"Now who are you to say that? Frankly, I find this whole uproar specious."

The crowd continues to call for blood and in the back, Justin Clotho the Shadow taps Stefan Perrier on the shoulder. The mute Clotho waves his head towards Dorrin's large garbage can in the front of his yard, and Stefan understands. Both men pick it up and run screaming towards the house. Matt Hall grabs Meems into his arms to protect her, as Clotho and Stefan prepare to break Dorrin's window.

At the last possible second, Dorrin, through the monitor, calls out "Stop!"

A buzzer sounds, and his door is unlocked.

"You can find me in the basement."

Hesitantly, the crowd enters Dorrin's home. It is almost pitch black, and dusty. "Shogun" Brian Lanners leads the way, his gun positioned in case of an ambush. But everything is still, and the group finds the long, dark stairwell to Dorrin's basement.

We're in the house, Hector.

I know, Matthew. I can see you all. Don't be afraid.

Lanners is finally at the basement door, a tall, foreboding, black portal. He knocks, and it swings open. They can see nothing in the dark.

"Dorrin?" Lanners calls out.

"In here, gentlemen. There is a light switch to your left."

Lanners looks around, and recedes his hand inside his shirt sleeve, in order not to make skin contact with the switch. He throws it, and a visible spark travels up the wall, illuminating various cables placed maniacally about.

The room brightens, and from all sides comes Dorrin's voice.

"Hello, my friends. And good-bye."

Morgan screams. In the very center of the room is Hector Dorrin, dead. "No!" she shouts, and runs to him. Lanners shoves her violently inside and inspects the corpse.

"What the hell..." he mumbles.

"What is it?" asks Hall.

"He's dead. He's been dead for almost six hours. Ever since he arrived home from the hospital, I'd say."

"Then how did he..." Hall begins, but suddenly everyone understands.

The clinking of various automated robotics goes throughout the room. Keyboards typing on themselves, machine arms playing chess with other machine arms. A computer generation of Dorrin fed directly into a two-way monitor. Everywhere, artificial intelligence. The sons of "Mad" Hector Dorrin.

"You'll find that I've made your work easy for you. Consider it my last bit of service to my honorable Mayor."

Two small spider robots clink across the floor, and Lanners steps out of the way. They hop upon Dorrin's body and undo his shirt. Against his thin, bare skin, they sink their metal claws into his chest and begin to systematically peel layer and layer of flesh back, slowly, agonizingly, until finally Dorrin's insides are exposed.

The spiders clink away victoriously, leaving everyone staring at Hector Dorrin's black heart.

There is silence, broken by the angry footsteps of Matt Hall, who runs as far as town square before he falls to his knees and cries out in betrayal.

"Mad" Hector Dorrin was Mafia. Day Three continues, and will conclude on Friday, June 1 at 5:00 PM EST.

The current necessary majority is eight (8). Votes have been reset.
