GalCiv has a nice AI, but there's too much micromanagement.

Yeah, that is one big problem with it. I finished up a game the other day, and the amount of work that I had to do was insane.

Still, it's pretty much the best game of its kind!

I don't know if I'd go that far. It gets boring after a while.

It's a shame that so many TBSes borrow so many of their ideas from Civ.

Except I guess the economic system, which was borrowed from MOO3, or maybe something else had it before that. It's garbage, wherever it came from.

They should have borrowed from Civ for that.

My big problem with GC2 is that the way they gauge a civ's power is so shitty.

I was ranked near last, but I somehow managed to wage war with about five civs at the same time.
