The manual and in-game tutorials don't tell you any of this important shit! All it said about throwing monsters was Prinnies explode. |

They tell you that you can combine monsters by throwing them in the tutorials. How do you think you powerlevel in certain areas? |

Derek, the TOB is the best addon for a p.c game I've ever played. And, the optional boss was just as awesome as the tower he's in.
And, yes, you might be right. The super bosses are only viable if you're at super levels, so if you're not at super levels looking for that crap, then why bother to do it.
I just wanted to kill that one lord of the alternative Netherworld, to see him turn into a prinny. |

I AGREE TOB IS VERY GOOD.
Killing 50+ Orcs and Drow assholes in one tunnel at one time is explosively awesome. |

The thing is, you can beat demogorgon at level 23-24. Being higher will make him easier, but it's not necessary. On the reverse of that try beating Neo Shinryu in Final Fantasy 5 at anything less than 70 (probably 90 is more reasonable).
I think super secret bosses should be difficult, but they shouldn't require me to sell my soul to the game to complete them.
PC RPGS get that right, console RPGS don't. Of course PC RPGS rarely place the same emphasis on level grinding that their console counterparts do. |

I'm guessing TOB didn't have the Imprisonment spell. Because it's much better than Meteor Swarm.
Bury someone in suspended animation deep within the earth forever (unless the reverse of the spell is cast) without a saving throw. |

Imprison is in BG. I don't remember using it much as a player (you can't loot someone that's been imprisoned). A couple of quests involve freeing people from imprisonment. |

I suppose that's true.
I don't really like how PC RPGs deal with loot. Since if they're carrying it on them, they should be using it in battle, and that's so rarely the case. |

Does it have Temporal Stasis, and are you allowed to loot with it? Because it's not as good as Imprisonment, but it's still better than Meteor Swarm. |

I think Baldur's Gate is pretty good about that. If you kill a guy using a fire staff, I think it even has the amount of charges that he used while fighting you drained from it.
At the very least, it's much better than console RPGs where rats have cash on them. |

Yeah, I don't know what Theldorrin is talking about. If some faggot has an Ice Cock + 5 then he is definitely using it against me and that is what makes some fights so hard. Don't even get me started on kobolds with fire arrows! |

There is Imprisonment and people generally don't use it because it makes the game very fucking easy. |

I'd wager that even the Baldur's Gate games don't give you all their equipment. It's generally unbalanced to give you their armour and whatnot.
I mean, suppose you have balanced party of four, and you're taking on one more powerful foe. If you're fighting a humanoid, it's virtually guaranteed that they'll have better equipment than any one of your guys. And fighting more than one guy like that would escalate the equipment level very rapidly.
So they don't give you the robes or armour, and hide some of the accessories and whatnot. Or they cheat and give them intrinsic abilities that should truly exist in items. |

Theldorrin, you loot the bodies, whatever they're wearing, you get to take.
I encourage you to play the game.
I've heard good things about Disgaea two! |
