I mean it in a general sense, but not an absolute sense, just as a clarification (which means I think that there are some cordless things that are better than corded varieties, but for most it's the reverse).

Let's talk about mice specifically, as an example.

A cordless mouse has battery issues that restrict it to the casual computer user. They also have signal issues, where the signal isn't read as flawlessly as a corded mouse. Cordless mice are also heavier, which encourages things like carpal tunnel syndrome, and general wrist pain. They're more expensive, as well.

But then again, you do weigh less than 90 pounds.

ha my corded G5 laser mouse came with a fucking weight set and i maxed that shit out, the revolution glides with extreme ease and has 15days charge time and the fucking signal gets interfered with by nothing and the fucking laser means i can use my mouse on a mirror! STRAIGHT ON THE FUCKING MIRROR WITH NO MOUSE PAD

I really blame it on home builders, though. I mean, it's easy to put ethernet in when you're building the house, but it's much harder to deal with when it's all finished!

Wireless mice work well, I just can stand having to replace batteries.

I just played through Fallout 2 on a new system and had no problems. It crashed on me once, but I found an easy solution, and it never happened again.

Alt tab out of the game, ctr alt delete to open up the Task Manager window, click on processes and find the game on the list right click on it and go to set affinity and there should be two boxes checked, uncheck one and then the game should have no problems. It was the same fix I had to use to get System Shock 2 to work.
