Kurno is the hero of Earth. The copy Kurono dies and so does Reika but you find out she will be reborn and copy Kurono will be her son. (From when Kato met the many face thingy that saw all existence as ants.) |

| The ending is very sudden. The whole last arc is pretty non stop though so it may be good to read without pause. |

It was kind of an odd and mostly dumb ending.
The whole last arc felt like it lasted forever yet still managed to just wrap it up out of nowhere in a few issues. There wasn't even a big finish, they kill the last of the invading aliens and then Kurono and Kato wash up on a beach and start hugging Tae and that other girl.
The last aliens were kind of dumb. Giant, rat versions of humans wearing GANTZ suits isn't the best.
Anyway, from what I remember the last arc basically killed every important character unceremoniously (or they're just gone and I don't remember why) except a few. GANTZ was revealed to be set up by a shadowy organization of gamblers, I think, using technology sent by a constantly shape-shifting alien that is basically God. It was probably better they didn't try to explain what GANTZ was all about.
I miss Onion Dad.

It just dawned on me the only way to make a good GANTZ game is basically to make a GANTZ version of Telltale's The Walking Dead. It would probably outshine the source material as well.
