That game went pretty well, that map took me 5 times to beat it the 1st time I tried.

I tried to pull myself back from running ahead all the time but did you think my play style was to much trying to steal kills?

Otherwise I like to try and knock down specials from afar and usually stick with the sniper rifle and a Magnum (crouched and with slow fire the Magnum is great)

Anyways I would greatly like to play again and this time maybe TL's dad will live!

It'd probably help more to play more often so we can adjust our play styles. I mean, I've only played with you a couple times before that and you seemed okay.

I've only clocked about 9 hours in the game so I don't really found my favorite gun, though I'm leaning towards the desert rifle and whatever melee weapon I find.

I feel like I don't talk enough and when I do it isn't really helpful.

I saw that hunter before I started running for the boat and I knew what was going to happen.

But, yeah, that was a pretty good game. We should play again sometime this week or next after the new campaign comes out.

I saw the hunter but I had low health I tried to shoot at it with the M16 but could not really focus on it, other than getting shot at a bit (which everyone does) we did beat the game!

I know it is better to right click specials off of people than to shoot at them though that helps a bit, I really like the normal sniper but the 30 round sniper more and the 60 clip 3 round burst rifle SAR or SAS I think. People think it is a waste of ammo but it does real well in crowds and most zombies in L4D2 take a couple of hits anyways and that burst of fire is very accurate.

Also I like to crouch in front of a door and just right click and shoot or use a melee that keeps them off real well! I just like the Magnum because it is stronger than most rifles and as long as you do not spam shots it is very accurate.

Is anyone interested in trying Last Gnome on Earth?

Well here are some weapon tips, Servbot (or anyone really), since you're a new player.


Primary weapons:

The combat rifle is the most well rounded weapon. With good fire rate, accuracy and stopping power it's hard to beat (also if you're playing scavenge you should almost always take this gun coupled with a melee weapon).

The ak-47 is great, but suffers from terrible accuracy so is best as a close range weapon unless you have a laser sight. It's arguably my favorite weapon, and the best nonshotgun weapon for fighting tanks.

The hunting rifle is garbage.

The regular sniper rifle isn't bad, but never more than one person in a group should be using it. Also, despite what people might try to argue, it's shit for fighting the tank and the witch (but great against the rest of the special infected).

The M-16 is probably the best autofire gun, but I find it to be less effective than the combat rifle, and it lacks the overall range of the combat rifle.

The spas-12 is the best auto shotgun (it's also the best choice for killing a witch). It's also the best tank killing weapon in the game. The benelli is good, but it's fire rate and damage output don't compete with the spas 12.

Of the basic level one weapons the uzi without the silencer and the wooden handle shotgun are the best choices. The chrome shotgun is good for longer range fighting, but lacks the damage output of the wooden shotgun. The silenced uzi is only useful against common infected because of it's shit damage, but it's one of the most accurate weapons in the game.

Secondary weapons:

The magnum is the best secondary weapon and will one shot most enemies (with the exception of chargers). However with a magnum a shotgun is a must as your primary weapon.

The machete is the best melee weapon followed by the Katana and then arguably the crow bar (the axe is too slow, and most of the blunt weapons are garbage other than the golf club and frying pan). Melee weapons are best when used with some sort of rifle, but they go well when coupled with any weapon really. Also in situations where someone gets charged you should always try to use the melee weapon as it's the most effective weapon for taking them out.

Dual pistols are crap except when you're downed, but then the magnum is better in those situations.

"Special" weapons:

Do not take the grenade launcher if you don't know what you're doing. It's arguably one of the most effective tools in the game, but really takes a fair amount of practice to be effective with it, and if you don't know what you're doing you are a liability to your team. The magnum (or sadly dual pistols if you can't find a magnum) is the best choice as a secondary with the grenade launcher.

The chainsaw is good for novelty, but I wouldn't drop a magnum or machete for it. Especially since once the fuel is gone you're stuck with a basic pistol.

The only time I like the 30 shot sniper is when I can see the tank from a great distance away, I have taken away 3/4 his health before he even got near us. I always stay away from the AK because of its accuracy but I guess if you burst click then that makes up for it.

You know the gnome you can rescue in dark carnival for the Gnome Chompsky achievement? Well the gist of Last Gnome on Earth is that you have to carry him through the entire campaign (any campaign) to complete it. My friends and I did it on The Passing yesterday.

And honestly the only weapon I'll never bother using is the hunting rifle, which is a shame because it was decent in the first game.
