Sure, there are people who take them seriously, but those are the people who would vote Republican no matter what anyway.

The only people who are genuinely politically targeted are moderates, and I can't really imagine a moderate agreeing with Rush Limbaugh's totally insensitive reaction to the Haiti situation, or really anything FOX News does.

As far as Rupert Murdoch being bribed or something, I'm not even sure what his actual political affiliation is. I think his game is just to have kind of edgy, left-leaning programming on on regular FOX and right wing talking points on Fox News so that the Simpsons can parody Rush Limbaugh and he can laugh all the way to the bank.

I was thinking more like the actual pundits being bribed directly.

I just find it worth noting how alienating FOX News is to anybody who's trying to etch out an informed opinion.

From what I understand, Fox News has basically been hijacked from Rupert Murdoch and he and his family aren't especially happy about what goes on there, but it's making so much money there isn't much he can do about it.
