Yeah, one level 9 opponent isn't really a match for anyone from FTU. You really need to play multiple CPU players simultaneously.

It seemed like level 9 opponents were more difficult in Melee, but maybe I just didn't devote myself to that game with as much fervor as I did Brawl.

Level nines are definitely more difficult in Brawl.

Don't get me wrong, level 9 computer characters do offer a lot of interesting insights into certain characters (The way Peach can completely collapse an air game by hurling turnips into the air in a thing of beauty!) but aside from impeccable dodging skills there isn't much to it. Once I beat Ike with Zero Suit Samus that was pretty much confirmed.

Well, we should probably start this soon now that I'm back.

I've randomly decided the bye system will work like this. There's 11 players that will be split into 2 4-player FFAs and 1 3-player FFA. The winners of these FFAs will get a bye. The second place victors in the 4-player FFA will also get a bye.

So it'll go something like this:

LOSER

LOSER

SECOND PLACE WINNER 1

BYE

SECOND PLACE WINNER 2

BYE

I made this up in like 5 minutes so feel free to suggest anything else! We'll be starting this soon, maybe as early as tonight.
