Lexy is fairly passionate against "...of doom" and "... of death", since these are popular exclusively among faggot nerds, but the nerds have driven them so far that even muggles use them now, and it's always annoying when that happens with nerd lingo.

Anyway, I've had to stop myself several times now from saying BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, and I'm glad I have. I was doing it without even thinking!

I'm thankful to her for showing me the error of my ways.

Blue screen of death certainly predates whatever fictional movement of "of doom" and "of death" into popular usage you're imagining, and it's not really much of an annoying expression.

It's the nerd equivalent of "it was the vacation [or whatever] from hell!!!" for obnoxious soccer mom-type women.

As for muggles, Lexy just made fun of me on the phone about that, so I guess nobody *gets* what I was doing there, with that.

By the way, "___ from hell!", that's another one that I can't believe hasn't been mentioned yet.

Considering nerds called it the blue screen of death, I'm not really sure why anyone is excluding that from the particular movement. Although it may predate it by a bit.

I'm sure it's a 1990s thing, though.

Spleen is the go-to organ for lazy comedy writers. "Ow my spleen!!!!!" Yeah, that's soooooo funny. It's so funny that it's used all the damn time. It's so lazy, uncreative and unfunny. I might have laughed about a spleen injury at one time—I don't remember—but it's definitely not funny anymore.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that if you all would take me as your admin, I would ban Chris on a regular basis. The current admins are the sort of inept bumbling cronies you get when you don't change power in a decade, and none of them realize what a valuable service it would be to temporarily ban obnoxious posters while they're being obnoxious instead of just waiting for them to shit everywhere until there's such a huge pile of shit the poster gets banned forever. Obviously in a case like 8bitOrgy an eternal ban is the right course of action, but if I were admin we wouldn't even be in that situation, and I wouldn't have waited around like a fat disgusting retard faggot while 8bit did his stupid crap, I would have put him in his place right away (offensive edits, closing threads, you name it).

I call my system "mirco-bans."
